FAQ

Answers. Not spin.

Everything you need to know about TabTab — the hardware, the build process, the pricing, and what happens after it arrives.

01

Pricing & payments

You're not buying software. You're buying dedicated AI employees — configured for your business, installed on your hardware, trained by us, shipped to your door. The machine is yours. The agents are yours. There's no monthly platform fee eating your margin. One price. Full ownership.

The $800 session is a strategic roadmap. We don't sell you anything — we help you decide whether a TabTab makes sense for your specific operation. If you move forward with a build, the $800 credits toward your $10K purchase. If not, you walk away with a clear picture of how AI fits your business.

No platform fees. Ever. The only optional recurring cost is the TabTab Community ($99/mo after your 6-month free period). Otto usage is billed at cost — typically a few dollars per month. Your machine, your models, your data. No rent.

We collect a 20% deposit ($2,000) when you place your order. The remaining $8,000 is due before we ship. We don't offer financing directly, but many customers use business credit lines or equipment financing through their bank.

02

The hardware

A brand-new MacBook Air with Apple Silicon. It's yours to keep — not leased, not locked, not managed remotely. We configure it with TabTabOS, your agents, and your integrations before it ships.

Apple Silicon gives you the best local AI inference per watt on the market. A MacBook sits on your desk, runs silently, costs nothing in electricity, and works even if your internet goes down. No rack, no cloud bill, no DevOps team required.

We configure AppleCare before shipping. Hardware issues go through Apple's standard warranty and repair process. Your TabTabOS configuration is backed up and can be restored to a replacement machine.

03

Setup & onboarding

No. The whole point of the build is that we do the technical work, then ship you a machine that's already running. Most of our customers have never opened Terminal before the build. By the end of the 3-hour onboarding, you'll know exactly what to type when you need to.

Typically 5-7 business days from deposit to ship. The pre-consult call happens within 48 hours of order. We use that time to map your business, configure your agents, and test everything before the machine leaves our lab.

We Zoom in, screen-shared on your machine. We walk through every agent, every integration, every command. You'll run real tasks live. By the end, you'll have a muscle-memory understanding of how your TabTab operates day-to-day.

04

Integrations & software

Gmail, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, JobNimbus, Acculynx, Zuper, ServiceTitan, JustCall, Aircall, CallRail, ClickUp, Monday, Jira, Linear, Notion, Slack, Telegram, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoom, Avoma, Gong, CompanyCam — and anything else with an API. Your build includes up to 3 integrations; we install more at cost.

If it has an API, we can connect it. If it doesn't, we look at workarounds — email forwarding, webhook relays, browser automation. During the pre-consult we'll map exactly which tools matter and what's possible.

Yes. Your build includes 3 integrations. Additional integrations are installed at cost — typically $200-$500 each depending on complexity. You can also configure simpler integrations yourself using Otto.

05

Security & data

On your machine. In your office. Under your desk. TabTab runs local open-weight models — your data never leaves your hardware. No cloud inference, no third-party model providers seeing your business data.

Local-only processing is the strongest data sovereignty position you can take. Your data never transits a third-party cloud for inference. For specific compliance frameworks, we recommend reviewing with your compliance officer — but the architecture is designed to make compliance straightforward.

FileVault disk encryption is enabled by default. The machine requires a password to boot. Your API keys are stored in the system keychain, not plaintext. And because your AI runs locally, there's no cloud account to compromise.

06

Support & maintenance

Otto is on-machine and runs independently. For anything Otto can't resolve, you have the TabTab Community — a private Discord and Telegram where you reach the team directly, always on. Six months free, then $99/month to stay in. Hardware-level issues go through Apple's AppleCare, which we configure before shipping.

Otto "The Orchestrator" is a separate AI mechanic agent that lives on your machine. When TabTabOS needs an update, when something breaks, when you're not sure what went wrong — open Terminal, type 'hermes', and Otto gets to work. He runs on his own AI engine, separate from your main agents.

A private Telegram group with direct access to the founders and other TabTab operators. Ask questions, share workflows, get help with new integrations. 6 months free with every build, then $99/month. Cancel anytime.
