Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days, or same-day for national shortage declarations: blood and platelet shortage declarations and appeals by region and blood type from the American Red Cross, Vitalant, OneBlood, New York Blood Center, Bloodworks, LifeSouth, Versiti and regional centers; FDA and AABB donor eligibility rule changes; donor incentive and reward programs with dates; NMDP and DKMS registry drives, eligibility changes and rule changes; state organ donor registration, first-person consent and living donor protection and paid leave laws; UNOS, HRSA and OPTN system changes affecting patients and donors; deferral and travel rule changes; plasma-derived medicine shortages; and blood center mergers, closures and scheduling system outages. Prefer blood centers, FDA, AABB, NMDP, DKMS, HRSA, UNOS, state legislatures and established health reporting; ignore unverified appeals. Put the region, organization or rule first in the title with the need and the date. Use high severity for a critical shortage declaration, an eligibility change that opens donation to a large group, or a registry drive with a deadline. Return no more than 6 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what is needed, who qualifies, where and when to give, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
