Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: active scam patterns with the exact signals from FTC, FBI IC3, BBB, state attorney general and platform alerts covering Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Hopper, Evolve, Vacasa, Furnished Finder, Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist; guest protection, refund, verification, identity and review rule changes at the major platforms; fake listing, phishing and off-platform payment enforcement actions; hidden camera, safety and party rule changes; price display, cleaning fee and total price rules; host cancellation, double-booking and rebooking remedy changes; city short-term rental license lookup tools that verify a listing; and chargeback rulings and settlements with guest refunds. Prefer the FTC, FBI IC3, BBB, state attorneys general, platform help pages and announcements, city licensing portals and established travel reporting; ignore unverified viral posts.
