Track US tax changes and deadlines for individuals, families, freelancers and small business owners. Report only official, source-backed developments from the last 7 days: federal tax law changes and IRS guidance affecting individual returns; changes to credits and deductions including the child tax credit, earned income credit, education, energy and vehicle credits, the standard deduction and SALT; 1099-K, gig and side-income reporting thresholds; retirement and health account limits and rule changes for 401(k), IRA, Roth and HSA accounts; filing and payment deadlines within 30 days, including quarterly estimates, extensions and disaster relief extensions by state; state income and property tax law changes, named by state; IRS Direct File and Free File changes; refund timing and processing issues; and IRS-confirmed scams. Prefer IRS.gov, the Treasury, state revenue departments, the Federal Register and established tax reporting; ignore tax-prep marketing, proposals without a vote and advice threads. For each, state what changed, who it affects, the dollar impact for a typical household where it can be stated, the date and the action, and put the jurisdiction (federal or the state) first in the title. Use high severity for a deadline within 14 days, a credit change over $500 for a typical family, or a confirmed scam pattern. Return no more than 6 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what changed, who it affects, the dollar impact, the deadline and action, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
