Sweepstakes, Giveaway & Contest Watch

Why this is recommended

One legitimate entry for a $10,000 prize with a free mail-in alternative, a scam warning before a $500 fee is paid to claim a fake prize, or a second-chance drawing for a losing ticket each is worth the fee.

What the Tab covers

Who it is for

The 50 million Americans who enter sweepstakes each year and the ones who want the real HGTV entry link, not the scam text.

When it runs

Major brands launch sweepstakes around product launches and holidays, entry deadlines cluster at month ends, and FTC and state actions on fake sweepstakes publish year-round

Scope

Official sweepstakes rules pages from HGTV, Publishers Clearing House, Omaze, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Amazon, Target, Walmart, Marriott, Delta and other major sponsors; state lottery second-chance programs; FTC and state attorney general prize scam alerts; IRS prize reporting rules; state sweepstakes registration laws

Suggested task

The objective your Tab starts with. You can edit every line of it once the Tab is yours.

Legitimate sweepstakes and contests from major brands with prizes over $1,000, entry methods, free alternate entry and deadlines, HGTV Dream Home, Publishers Clearing House and other annual giveaways, state lottery second-chance drawings, contest rule changes and winner announcements, FTC and state actions on fake sweepstakes and prize scams, and tax reporting for prizes, with the sponsor and the prize first.

Track sweepstakes and contests for US consumers. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: sweepstakes and contests from major brands, retailers, media companies and travel companies with prizes over $1,000, official rules links, entry methods, free alternate entry methods and deadlines; annual giveaways including HGTV Dream Home, Publishers Clearing House and Omaze with entry windows; state lottery second-chance drawing programs with deadlines; contest rule changes, extensions and winner announcements; FTC, FBI and state attorney general alerts on fake sweepstakes, prize and lottery scams with the pitch used; and IRS prize reporting and withholding rules. Prefer official rules pages, sponsor announcements, state lottery, FTC and IRS sources; only include sweepstakes with published official rules and a named sponsor; ignore aggregator sites and social media giveaways without official rules. Put the sponsor and the prize first in the title. Use high severity for a prize over $50,000 with a deadline within 14 days or a scam alert with over $1 million in reported losses. Return no more than 8 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for the prize, how to enter for free, the deadline, the official rules link, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
