Homeschool, Charter & School Choice Rule Watch

Why this is recommended

An ESA worth $7,000 a year with an application window that closes in three weeks, a charter lottery deadline, a rule change on what the account can buy, or a court ruling that pauses payments are each decisions worth thousands to a family, and the programs change every legislative session.

Suggested task

The objective your Tab starts with. You can edit every line of it once the Tab is yours.

Education savings account, voucher and tax credit scholarship program openings, amounts, eligibility and deadlines by state, homeschool notification, testing and record rule changes, charter school openings, closures and lottery deadlines in the 100 largest metros, microschool and learning pod rules, program funding lapses and waitlists, approved vendor and expense rule changes, court rulings on program legality, dual enrollment and part-time public school access rules and homeschool sports and activity access laws, with the state or program first and the deadline or amount in the title, reported neutrally.

Track school choice and homeschooling rules in the United States, reported neutrally. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: education savings account, voucher and tax credit scholarship program openings, amounts, eligibility, deadlines, funding caps and waitlists by state; homeschool notification, assessment, attendance and record rule changes by state; charter school openings, closures, lottery and enrollment deadlines in the 100 largest metros; microschool, learning pod and hybrid program rules; approved vendor, curriculum and allowable expense rule changes; court rulings on program legality or funding; dual enrollment, part-time public enrollment and state testing access rules; homeschool access to public school sports and activities; and federal tax credit scholarship rules. Prefer state education agencies, program administrators, state legislatures, courts, charter authorizers and established education reporting; ignore advocacy commentary on either side and report each change as it applies to families. Put the state or program first in the title with the amount, deadline or rule. Use high severity for an application window closing within 21 days, a funding lapse or waitlist, a court ruling that pauses a program, or a homeschool rule change taking effect before the school year. Return no more than 8 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what changed, who qualifies, how to apply, the deadline, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
