Fantasy Basketball & Baseball Waiver Brief

Why this is recommended

The right pickup on Monday morning wins a week, and a season is a $100 to $1,000 pot plus a year of bragging rights. Football has its own Tab; this one covers the other two seasons.

What the Tab covers

Who it is for

The 20 million people in a fantasy basketball or baseball league who do not have time to read every beat reporter.

When it runs

Weekly lineups lock on Mondays and the second baseball run catches weekend injuries and call-ups

Scope

Standard ESPN and Yahoo leagues; basketball October to April, baseball March to September; injuries and timelines from official reports, role, rotation, minutes and batting order changes, call-ups, demotions and trades, closer and bullpen changes, schedule density and streaming windows, adds under 50 percent rostered, drops and streams with a confidence level

Suggested task

The objective your Tab starts with. You can edit every line of it once the Tab is yours.

A weekly waiver and streaming brief for fantasy basketball and baseball built from official injury reports, rotation and playing-time changes, call-ups and demotions, schedule density and closer and lineup changes, with a reason and a confidence level on every add, drop and stream.

Produce a fantasy basketball or baseball waiver brief for standard ESPN and Yahoo leagues, basketball from October to April and baseball from March to September. Report only source-backed changes from the last 72 hours: injuries with return timelines from official reports; role, rotation, minutes and batting order changes; call-ups, demotions and trades; closer and bullpen changes; schedule density and streaming windows for the coming week; and players under 50 percent rostered with a clear reason to add, players to drop and players to stream. Prefer official injury reports, team announcements, beat reporters with team credentials, RotoWire, FantasyPros and league roster data; ignore hot takes and unverified rumors. Put the player and team first in each title and give a reason and a confidence level of high, medium or low for every call. Use high severity for a season-ending injury to a top-50 player or a closer change. Return no more than 10 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for the change, the reason, the confidence, the action, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
