Electronics Component & Chip Supply Watch

Why this is recommended

A last-time-buy notice on a microcontroller in an active product, a tariff that adds 25 percent to a BOM, or a lead time jump from 8 to 52 weeks caught early each is worth far more than the fee.

What the Tab covers

Who it is for

The 500,000 hardware startups, makers, product designers and small manufacturers who buy components in quantities of 10 to 10,000.

When it runs

Distributors update lead times monthly, manufacturers issue end-of-life notices with last-time-buy deadlines, and tariff and export rule changes take effect on fixed dates

Scope

Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet and LCSC lead time and pricing data; end-of-life notices from Microchip, STMicro, NXP, TI, Infineon, Renesas, Espressif and Nordic; USTR and Commerce tariff and export actions; Raspberry Pi, Arduino and Adafruit announcements; JLCPCB, PCBWay and OSH Park pricing; ERAI and GIDEP counterfeit alerts

Suggested task

The objective your Tab starts with. You can edit every line of it once the Tab is yours.

Component lead time and allocation changes for microcontrollers, memory, power, passives and connectors, end-of-life and last-time-buy notices for popular parts, tariff and export control changes affecting components, distributor price and minimum order changes, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32 and dev board availability and price changes, PCB fab and assembly price changes, and counterfeit component alerts, with the part or manufacturer first.

Track electronics component supply for US hardware builders. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: lead time changes over 4 weeks and allocation notices for microcontrollers, memory, power management, passives, connectors and displays from Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet and manufacturer reports; end-of-life and last-time-buy notices with deadlines from Microchip, STMicro, NXP, TI, Infineon, Renesas, Espressif and Nordic; tariff, export control and de minimis changes affecting components and assembled boards with effective dates; distributor price changes over 10 percent and minimum order changes; Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, Adafruit and SparkFun availability and price changes; JLCPCB, PCBWay and OSH Park fab and assembly price changes; and ERAI or GIDEP counterfeit component alerts. Prefer distributor, manufacturer, USTR, Commerce, dev board maker and fab sources; ignore unverified shortage rumors. Put the part or manufacturer first in the title. Use high severity for a last-time-buy deadline within 60 days on a top-selling part, a tariff over 10 percent taking effect within 30 days, or a counterfeit alert. Return no more than 8 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what changed, which parts are affected, the deadline, what to do with a BOM, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
