Counterfeit Product & Fake Listing Alert Watch

Why this is recommended

A counterfeit phone charger that fails UL testing 99 percent of the time, a fake airbag, a supplement with a hidden drug, or a $300 purse that is a $30 fake are each a safety or money loss the Tab catches with a two-line check, and a refund right most shoppers do not know they have.

What the Tab covers

Who it is for

Everyone who shops online, which is everyone, and especially the parents buying toys and the drivers buying brake pads on a marketplace.

When it runs

CBP, brands and platforms publish seizures and alerts mid-week; counterfeit chargers and cosmetics sell every day

Scope

CBP and HSI seizure data and alerts; Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Temu, Shein, TikTok Shop, Etsy, AliExpress and Facebook Marketplace enforcement, seller removals, authentication and refund programs; brand authentication and serial check programs; UL, CPSC, FDA, NHTSA and FAA counterfeit product findings for chargers, batteries, cosmetics, supplements, car parts, airbags, toys, electronics, medicines and luxury goods; fake review and fake listing enforcement by the FTC and states; marketplace liability rulings; Entrupy, Real Authentication and authentication service changes

Suggested task

The objective your Tab starts with. You can edit every line of it once the Tab is yours.

Counterfeit product alerts with the signals to spot them for chargers, batteries, cosmetics, supplements, car parts, toys, electronics and luxury goods, CBP seizure data by category, platform enforcement and seller removal waves at Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Temu, TikTok Shop and Etsy, brand authentication program changes, fake review and fake listing enforcement, dangerous counterfeit findings from UL, CPSC and FDA, marketplace liability rulings and refund rights and authentication service changes, with the product category or platform first and the check to make in the title.

Track counterfeit and fraudulent products for US shoppers. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: counterfeit product alerts with the signals to spot them and CBP and HSI seizure data by category for chargers, batteries, cosmetics, supplements, car parts, airbags, toys, electronics, medicines and luxury goods; enforcement, seller removal waves, authentication and refund program changes at Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Temu, Shein, TikTok Shop, Etsy, AliExpress and Facebook Marketplace; brand authentication and serial check program launches; UL, CPSC, FDA, NHTSA and FAA findings on dangerous counterfeits with the products named; FTC and state fake review and fake listing enforcement actions; marketplace liability rulings and refund rights; and authentication service changes at Entrupy, Real Authentication and similar services. Prefer CBP, HSI, the FTC, CPSC, FDA, NHTSA, UL, platform announcements, brand pages, court documents and established consumer reporting; ignore unverified social posts. Put the product category or platform first in the title and state the one check a shopper should make. Use high severity for a dangerous counterfeit in a category most households buy, an enforcement wave at a top-5 marketplace, or a ruling that changes refund rights. Return no more than 6 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what was found, the signals, what to do, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
