Construction Trades, Bids & Prevailing Wage Watch

Why this is recommended

A wage determination update worth $2 an hour, a $5 million school bid seen before the deadline, or a license bond change caught before renewal each beats the fee.

What the Tab covers

Who it is for

The 8 million construction workers and 750,000 licensed contractors who bid on public work or earn prevailing wage.

When it runs

Prevailing wage determinations update on fixed cycles, public project bids open with two to four week windows, and state contractor license rules change January 1

Scope

DOL Davis-Bacon determinations and state prevailing wage agencies; state and municipal bid portals; state contractor licensing boards; OSHA construction rules; Random Lengths, AGC and Producer Price Index material data; building trades union agreements; Infrastructure and CHIPS project announcements

Suggested task

The objective your Tab starts with. You can edit every line of it once the Tab is yours.

Federal and state prevailing wage rate updates by trade and county, public infrastructure and school bond project bid openings with amounts and deadlines, contractor license, bond and insurance rule changes, OSHA construction standard changes, material price moves for lumber, steel, copper and concrete, union agreement ratifications and rates, and workforce training and apprenticeship funding, with the trade or project first.

Track construction work for US trades and contractors. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: Davis-Bacon and state prevailing wage determination updates by trade and county with the rate change; public infrastructure, school bond, transit and federal project bid openings over $1 million with deadlines and locations; contractor license, bond, insurance and continuing education rule changes by state; OSHA construction standard changes including heat, silica and fall protection; material price moves over 5 percent for lumber, steel, copper, drywall and concrete from established indexes; building trades union agreement ratifications with rates; and apprenticeship and workforce training funding with application deadlines. Prefer DOL, state agencies, bid portals, OSHA, union and industry index sources; ignore lead generation sites. Put the trade or project first in the title. Use high severity for a bid deadline within 14 days on a project over $10 million, a wage determination change over 5 percent, or a license rule taking effect within 60 days. Return no more than 8 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what changed, where, the deadline, what to do, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
