Cannabis & Hemp Rule Watch

Why this is recommended

A hemp THC ban that makes a product illegal overnight, an employment testing rule change, or an expungement program deadline each is worth more than the fee.

What the Tab covers

Who it is for

The 60 million American adults who used cannabis in the past year, the 6 million medical patients, and the workers and travelers who need to know what is legal where.

When it runs

State cannabis and hemp laws take effect on fixed dates, federal rescheduling and hemp actions publish in the Federal Register, and product recalls and testing failures publish weekly by state

Scope

State cannabis regulators and legislatures; DEA rescheduling and Federal Register; USDA and FDA hemp actions; state recall and testing notices; state employment and drug testing laws; expungement programs; TSA and CBP guidance; Congress hemp and banking legislation

Suggested task

The objective your Tab starts with. You can edit every line of it once the Tab is yours.

State cannabis legalization, medical program, home grow and possession changes with effective dates, hemp-derived THC product bans and restrictions by state, federal rescheduling and hemp rule actions, product recalls and testing failures by state and brand, employment and drug testing rule changes, expungement and record clearing programs, dispensary license and delivery changes, and travel and border rules, with the state or rule first.

Track cannabis and hemp rules for US adults. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: state cannabis legalization, medical program, home grow, possession limit and purchase rule changes with effective dates; hemp-derived THC, delta-8 and THCA product bans, age limits and restrictions by state and federal action; DEA rescheduling, USDA and FDA hemp and CBD rule actions; product recalls and testing failures by state with brands; employment, drug testing and workers' compensation rule changes; expungement, resentencing and record clearing programs with deadlines; dispensary licensing, delivery and consumption lounge changes; and TSA, CBP and interstate travel guidance. Prefer state regulator, legislative, DEA, USDA, FDA, court and federal agency sources; ignore industry promotion. Put the state or rule first in the title. Use high severity for a ban taking effect within 60 days, a recall, or an expungement deadline within 30 days. Return no more than 6 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what changed, who it affects, the effective date, what to do, and the source link. Report factually without encouraging use. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
