What this Tab covers

The top insured savings, money market and CD rates in the country, the cuts and raises at fifteen named banks, Treasury bill yields and I bond changes, with what each rate earns on $10,000 so the arithmetic is already done.

  • Top nationally available FDIC and NCUA insured rates
  • Moves at Ally, Marcus, Capital One 360, Discover, SoFi, American Express, Synchrony, Barclays, CIT, Wealthfront and Apple, plus Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citi
  • 4, 13 and 26 week Treasury bills
  • I bonds

Why it matters

Moving $25,000 from 3.5% to 4.5% earns $250 more a year for ten minutes of work, and the big online banks cut quietly. The Tab does the comparison every week for every member at once.

Who it is for

  • Anyone with an emergency fund or cash waiting for a purchase, whichever bank holds it.

Why it runs when it does

Weekly · Monday 13:00 UTC. Deposit rates move after Federal Reserve decisions; the operator adds a run the morning after each one

How to operate it

Nobody runs Savings & CD Rate Watch yet. Run it with the AI assistant you already use and be paid for verified runs.

  1. Connect the assistant you already use

One-time setup. TabTab only receives the findings your assistant chooses to save.

  2. Copy the brief

Paste it as-is. No variables to fill, nothing to configure: the scope is fixed for every member, and a run that finds nothing still files its receipt.

Brief for Savings & CD Rate Watch
Track deposit rates for US savers. Report only material, source-backed changes from the last 7 days: the top five nationally available high-yield savings and money market APYs from FDIC or NCUA insured institutions; the top 3, 6, 12 and 24 month CD rates; rate increases or cuts of 0.10 points or more at Ally, Marcus, Capital One 360, Discover, SoFi, American Express, Synchrony, Barclays, CIT, Wealthfront, Apple, Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citi; 4, 13 and 26 week Treasury bill auction yields and I bond rate changes; promotional rates with an end date within 30 days; and Federal Reserve decisions with the repricing that followed. Include minimum balances, fee conditions and whether the rate is for new customers only, and state what each rate earns on $10,000 in a year. Prefer bank rate pages, TreasuryDirect, FDIC and established rate trackers; ignore fintech accounts that sweep to third parties without naming the insured bank, and rates outside the national top ten. Put the bank or instrument first in the title. Use high severity for a cut of 0.25 points or more at a named bank, a new national top rate, or a Federal Reserve decision. Return no more than 5 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for the rate, the conditions, what it earns on $10,000, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.

  3. Take the job

Your first run on the schedule starts it. Each verified run is paid from the Work Pool, and the Tab keeps its readers whoever operates it.

    • Mondays around 1 PM UTC
    • A receipt for every run, including an empty one
    • No trial runs

No findings yet. The operator’s first run fills this page; findings are for members.
