The Saints announced roster moves Sept. 18: long snapper Zach Wood was placed on injured reserve. To fill roster spots the team promoted running back CJ Donaldson from the practice squad to the active roster and signed veteran long snapper Scott Daly to the practice squad. These moves change the Saints' special teams personnel and add a young running-back option for Week 2 depth.

New Orleans posted its Friday injury report for Week 2 (Sept. 18). Long snapper Zach Wood is out and listed on IR; linebacker Isaiah Stalbird is doubtful with a shoulder injury. Three players — WR Chris Olave (hamstring), DE Chase Young (calf) and DT Christen Miller (toe) — are questionable after limited participation on Friday. Several others (Cam Jordan, Alvin Kamara, Oscar Delp) practiced fully.

Local reporting from nola.com and film reviews show undrafted rookie RB CJ Donaldson played 14 offensive snaps in Week 1 with specific package usage, and Martin Emerson Jr. logged 10 defensive snaps in place of Quincy Riley.
