Seahawks held tryouts for three defensive players ahead of Week 2

The Seahawks worked out three defensive free agents (a versatile safety/corner, a defensive back with prior NFL game action, and a hybrid defensive back/linebacker) as potential depth additions before Week 2.

In this brief: 2 sections 1 min read
    • Devan Boykin — safety/corner, former Indiana player and CFP national champion; previously with Steelers as an undrafted free agent.
    • Austin Keys — defensive back with previous NFL game experience (picked up by Vikings in 2025), later had an injury settlement with Cardinals.
    • Larry Worth III — defensive back/linebacker hybrid, originally with 49ers this year before being released.
    • Tryouts were reported via the NFL transaction wire and Field Gulls writeup.
    • Any additions would likely be for secondary or hybrid roles given recent injuries in the secondary.
    • Field Gulls noted Seattle could decide by Wednesday whether to sign any of these players to the active roster or practice squad.
