Chiefs finalize Week 2 injury designations: Conner, Simmons out; Delane and Jones questionable
Chiefs ruled two starters out and left two veterans/rookies doubtful for Week 2. The statuses influence Arrowhead’s projected starters and snap planning for Sunday night.

Chamarri Conner — DB — Knee — Out
Josh Simmons — LT — Back — Out
Both did not practice this week and will not play Sunday night.
Mansoor Delane — CB — Shoulder — Questionable; practiced in full this week and is on track to be available according to coaches.
Chris Jones — DT — Calf — Questionable; limited at practice and likely to have a reduced snap plan if active.
With Simmons out, rookie Kahlil Benson is expected to start at left tackle again.
Conner’s absence keeps Jaden Hicks and Alohi Gilman as the primary safeties.
Jones’ status could mean fewer interior pass-rush snaps and heavier rotation of DTs if he’s active.
