Anthropic relaunches Claude Code “Projects” to run coordinated multi‑agent cloud threads
Claude Code Projects now distributes and coordinates multiple cloud threads and subagents for parallel work; access is in beta for select paid tiers with staged rollouts planned.

Each project runs multiple 'threads' — separate Claude Code cloud sessions with their own repo branch and copy of the workspace.
A coordinator agent assigns tasks, merges results, and resolves conflicts like pull‑request merges.
All threads read/write to shared storage and collect outputs into a project library.
Beta initially open to selected Claude Pro and Max subscribers; rollout to Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise planned.
Threads run in Anthropic’s cloud for now; a variant for local execution is promised but undated.
Parallel threads consume usage quota faster since each is a full Claude Code session.
