Do I have to log in to use the toolbar?: Yes, you need to be logged in to use all the features of the toolbar. If you are not logged in, only the search on the toolbar will work.

What are tabs?: Toolbar tabs allow you to view, organize, and access multiple toolbars on one toolbar without sacrificing any space on your browser. Easily create, add and share toolbar tabs with friends across our platform. You can also set your privacy preference for your tabs.

What is My Tab?: My Tab is your default toolbar when you first join TabTab. It contains “My Tablet” and “Tabbers” which can only be found on “My Tab”. You can start adding tablets to your “My Tab” once logged in.

What are tablets?: Tablets are custom interactive buttons on the toolbar that can perform a wide variety of functions such as: act as a quick link to websites you frequent, open up a page which allows for organizing information such as feeds, widgets, or URLs, open a standalone window that can display your favorite widget such as a music player or weather widget and much more. Tablets can also be shared with the TabTab community.

What is My Tablet?: My Tablet is your personalized page which can be accessed directly from your toolbar. This page allows you to add your favorite parts of the Web such as photos, music, video, blogs, bookmarks, calendar, mail, news, weather and much more in one central place.

How do I add a new tab on the toolbar?: You can add a new tab by clicking on “Add Tab” button which appears to the right of the active tab. When you get to the “Add Tabs” page, you can browse through a list of existing tabs to add or create your own new tab.

How do I create a new tab on the toolbar?: You can create a new tab by clicking on the “Add Tab” button. Then click on “Create New Tab”. Simply enter your tab name and any other information you would like and click save. Now you have a new tab on your toolbar which you can start customizing by adding tablets to it.

How do I remove a tab from the toolbar?: Go to Settings which can be found on the drop down arrow next to the TabTab logo on the toolbar or click on settings from any tablet page. Then go to toolbar settings, click on the drop down arrow of the tab you want to remove and select delete.

How do I rename a tab on the toolbar?: Go to Settings which can be found on the drop down arrow next to the TabTab logo on the toolbar or click on settings from any tablet page. Then go to toolbar settings, click on the drop down arrow of the tab you want to rename and select rename.

How do I share a tab on the toolbar?: Go to Settings which can be found on the drop down arrow next to the TabTab logo on the toolbar or click on settings from any tablet page. Then go to toolbar settings, click on the drop down arrow of the tab you want to share and select share.

How do I add a new tablet on the toolbar?: You can add a tablet to the toolbar by clicking on “Add Tablet” from the browser toolbar. It will bring you to the “Add Tablet” page where you can browse through a list of existing tablets or you can create your own tablet.
[TOP]; To add an URL link to your toolbar, click on the drop down arrow from Add Tablet and select “Add URL Tablet”, this will create a tablet on the toolbar that will link you to your website.

How do I create a new tablet?: You can create a new tablet by clicking on the “Add Tablet” button. Then click on “Create New Tablet”. Simply enter your tablet name, and any other information you would like, select an icon and click save. Now you have a new tablet on your toolbar which you can start customizing by adding widgets to it.

Can I make my tablets private?: Yes, you can make your tablets private or password protected. When you set your tablet to private, your tablet will not show and no one can see it. When creating your tablet, you have the option of making it public, private, or allowing only friends to see it.

How do I change an icon on the toolbar?: Go to Settings which can be found on the drop down arrow from the TabTab logo on the toolbar or click on settings from any tablet page. Then go to toolbar settings, click on the drop down arrow of the tablet you want to change icon and select new icon.

I can’t get the toolbar to show up?: Try going to View->Toolbars->TabTab toolbar and make sure it is checked on your browser. You can also try re-installing if it is still not showing.

Can I make my toolbars private?: Yes, you can make your toolbars private or password protected. When you set your toolbar to private, your toolbar tab will not show and no one can see it. When creating your toolbar tab, you have the option of making it public, private, or allowing only friends to see it.

To set your toolbar to private, click on Settings -> toolbar settings, select the drop down arrow from the tab that you want to set to private and save.

How come I don’t see the vertical scroll bar on the right side of my page anymore?: This might be because of a chevron issue on the toolbar. When you have more tablets than can be displayed on your toolbar, there will be an arrow (chevron) which displays the rest of the tablets. Try refreshing the toolbar and if that doesn’t work, try logging out and log back in.

How do I un-install the toolbar?: Simply click on the drop down menu next to the TabTab logo on your toolbar. Select un-install and follow instructions.

Can I re-arrange my tabs and tablets on the toolbar?: Unfortunately at this time, you are unable to re-arrange tabs and tablets. However we are working on allowing you to re-arrange your tabs and tablets by dragging and dropping them to the position you want.

How come there is a toolbar on My Tablet page?: This is a mimic toolbar of the one on your browser. This allows you to access your toolbar from any computer with an Internet connection. This will also allow other people to see your toolbar and share it if you decide to do so

How can I share my Widgets?: There is a drop down arrow on the top right corner of the widget. Click on the arrow and select Share this widget. Then enter your friend’s email address that you want to share with.

How can I re-arrange the widgets on my page?: Put your mouse cursor over the title of the widget and drag and re-arrange to your desired position on the page.

How can I change the title of a widget?: Click on edit on the top right corner of the widget. Rename the title to what you want and click save.

How do I add another user’s toolbar, tablet, or widget?: When browsing another user’s homepage, you will see their toolbar on the top of the page. You can browser their toolbars to discover what you like and simply click the + sign next to the items you would like to add.

How do I change the number of columns/layout on my page?: Go to Settings which can be found on the drop down arrow next to the TabTab logo on the toolbar or click on settings from any tablet page. Then go to account settings->general settings, and select # of columns you would like.

Can I use TabTab without the toolbar?: Yes, you can go to www.tabtab.com and just log in from the webpage. Once logged in, you can access everything on your toolbar from your homepage. This means you can access your toolbar from any computer with an Internet connection.

How do I change my photo?: Simply click on edit button in the “My Profile” widget and upload a different photo.

What is Add URL Tablet?: Add URL Tablet is a shortcut for you to quickly add a website to your toolbar. When you are on a website that you would like to add, simply click on Add URL Tablet from the Add Tablet icon and the a tablet will be created that will link you to the website.

What is Add Feed Widget?: Add Feed Widget is a shortcut for you to quickly add a website feed to your toolbar. When you are on a website feed that you would like to add, simply click on Add Feed Widget from the Add Tablet icon and the a feed widget will be created.

What is Add SiteTracker Widget?: Add SiteTracker Widget allows you to create a widget for any website that you would like to track for changes. Once this widget is created, it tracks any changes made on the entire website you’re tracking and gives you an optional alert.

What is Add WebCip Widget?: Add WebClip Widget allows you to clip any part of a website and put it into a widget. This allows you to take any part of your favorite website and turn it into a widget. There are endless possibilities on the type of widgets you can create with this feature. With the Webclip widget, you also have the option to track any changes on the clipped content and get alerted on your toolbar.

What is Add HTML Widget?: Add HTML Widget allows you to add any html code to a widget. This can be used to add external widgets from other sites or any other html code you want for the widget.

What is a widget?: A web widget is a mini-web application that you can put in your web page, blog or social profile that can quickly and easily provide you with specific information, extra functionality, and anything from simple profiles to full-blown applications. Widgets can come in the form of photos, videos, feeds, news, weather information, games, calendars, calculators and much more.

How do I add widgets to my tablets?: On the top left hand corner of your tablet page, click on “Add Widgets”. Once you are on the “Add Widgets” page, you can browse through the list of widgets and add the ones you want. You can also user the search box to type in a specific widget you would like to add.

What is “Create Widget as a Tablet”?: This feature allows you to turn your widget into a tablet. When you “Create Widget as a Tablet”, you are taking your current widget and turning it into a tablet on your toolbar. Now you can access that widget on your toolbar in the form of a tablet.

What is a feed?: Feeds are a format for websites to syndicate news and content to its users. Feeds allow you to have the latest news and content delivered to you without having to visit the website. Feeds usually provide general headlines or summaries of web content with links to full versions. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually. Feeds can come in the form of photos, videos, podcasts, or text. For more information about feeds you can check out these sites:

How do I add feeds?: There are two ways you can a feed into a widget. First you can go to the “Add Widgets” page, and select, Create Feed Widget. Enter the feed URL and save. Secondly, when you are on a webpage with the feed URL, click on the “Add Tablet” drop down and select Add Feed Widget. This will auto-fill the feed URL. Then select the tab and tablet where you would like to add the feed into.

How do I add widgets I see from other websites?: First you would have to copy the “embeddable code” of the widget you would like to add. On most widgets, there is usually an area that displays the embed code for that widget. Once you have that code, you can go to the “Add Widgets” page, click on Create Html Widget and simply paste the embed code.

What is an URL widget?: An URL widget allows you to add a website into a widget. You can take any website and turn it into a URL widget. There are however a few sites that are having issues in adding it to a widget because of the page structure. Please let us know if you come across this issue and we will try our best to resolve it.

What are Profile Widgets?: These are the basic widgets on your homepage when you first sign up. In the event that you’ve decided to delete some of these widgets from your homepage, you can add them back in the “Add Widgets” page. You can also add these “Profile Widgets” to any of your tablet pages.

What is a search widget?: A search widget allows you to easily search for something you like right on your page. You can add search widgets used for searching the web, images, news, videos, shopping or local information to any of your tablet pages.

What is the green symbol on the Webclip widget?: The green symbol is an on/off button for the tracking feature of the webclip widget. Green indicates your Webclip widget is being tracked and you will receive alerts on your toolbar and red means tracking is turned off.

Why is there a number next to the tabs and tablets on the toolbar?: The number represents the number of Webclip widgets that have been updated. You can turn off this feature by going to settings -> alert settings, and check box for no alert. You can also update the time frequency that you want the Webclip widget to track for changes. Time can range from 1 min to 60 mins.

How do I join groups?: Click on Tabbers from the toolbar. Go to groups section on the bottom of the page. Select a group and click join group. Or when you are browsing through another user’s page, you can click on the group in their “My Groups” widget which will take you to the group info page. From there, you can also click on join group.

How do I start a new group?: Go to the Groups Home page link which can be found on the bottom of the Tabbers page. Select “Create Your Group Now” and fill in the required fields.

Can I change the name of my group?: Yes, you can edit the group that you created by going to View All from the “My Groups” widget on your homepage. Then select the group you would like to change the name of and click on edit. There you can change the name and other information pertaining to the group you created.

How is the search different from other toolbars?: Our search feature offers the unique ability to aggregate and display different search engines in the form of widgets on one page. This way you can see the most relevant results from multiple search engines at once. Also you can combine and customize different search engines such as a Google Image search with an Yahoo web search and a Youtube video search into one place with “My Search”.

What is My Search?: My Search is one of the search categories that allow you to customize it by adding search widgets into it.

How do I add more search widgets?: Click on “Add Widgets” from your search results page, Select “Search” under the Widgets by TabTab category. You can browse through the different search widgets and add the ones you want. Clicking on add will bring you to a page where you need to select which category the search widget belongs in. Click add and the search widget will be added to your chosen category.

How do I clear the search history in my toolbar?: Click on the drop down arrow on the search box and select clear history.

How do I change my password?: Click on the drop down arrow next to the TabTab logo, go to settings, then select account settings and there you will see a tab for change password.

How do I change my personal information?: Click on the edit from your “My Profile widget. There you can change your birthday, hometown, and zip code.

How do I change my username?: We are sorry, but there is no way to change a username once it is selected.

How do I delete my account?: Go to settings and there will be an option to cancel account.

I forgot my username/password, how do I get it back?: On your sign in window, there is a tab for “forgot password” you can enter your email that was used to sign up with TabTab and your username and password will be sent to you.

Who can see my personal information?: It all depends on what you want. You can set your personal information to public where everyone can see, private where no one can see your information, or just for friends to see.

How do I temporarily hide the toolbar?: You can go to View->Toolbars-> and uncheck the TabTab toolbar.
